Kevin's music is a heady cocktail of folk with a hint of blues, a dash of country, a splash of rock washed down with a large measure of his characteristic exuberance. He has written songs that are guaranteed to have an audience singing, songs of great wit and modern ballads of extraordinary sensitivity. He is a poet whose chosen milieu is music but set aside images of the dreary poet - Kevin brings energy and wit to every performance.
Can you trace the influences in Kevin's songs? Who does he sound like?

The Kevin O'Regan Band
As well as playing solo and as a duo with bass, Kevin has established the KORB. Energy and enthusiasm burst from the band on stage and when playing festivals the songs are mainly up-tempo with catchy choruses. The current lime-up is Kevin Ward ( www.myspace.com/kevintward ), an inventive fretless bassist who makes it an instrument in its own right not just a background sound, Rai Clews who gets an incredible range of sound from his cahon and Olivia Clarke who brings violin, vocals, flute and sax as well as youth and beauty! In the past, Malcolm Wood has played percussion, Godfrey Yeomans bass, the very talented Cleo Jones violin and the extraordinarily talented Pete Zorn (Richard Thompson, Barbara Dickson etc), who plays on Kevin's first two albums, played at the debut CD launch gig. Check out the photos of this gig on the Gallery page.
"...if talent is enough to get you where you want to be, then Kevin has a very good chance of getting there."
